This online tutorial will help get SoTL researchers started in applying for ethics certification. The tutorial contains

• an introduction to ethics in the context of research,
• the purpose of having ethics review, and
• how to obtain ethics approval.

This tutorial was developed at the University of Calgary’s Taylor Institute for Teaching and Learning by Tiffany Doherty and Miranda MacCallum of the SoTL Research Team and by Nancy Chick, Academic Director of the Taylor Institute and University Chair in Teaching and Learning.
